In Mirabel, most of our interlock requests come from new-home owners in Saint-Augustin, Saint-Janvier, Saint-Canut or Domaine-Vert: the builder-delivered lot is flat, with no stone or paving, often with a temporary gravel access. The interlock driveway becomes the first outdoor transformation — the one that gives the lot its finished look even before planting or a terrace.
Unlike an established lot where existing pavers get removed, a new lot calls for full excavation and tight compaction control: backfill soil around the foundation isn't always uniform, and a poorly laid sub-base settles faster on this kind of lot. We excavate to sufficient depth, lay compacted crushed stone in layers with a stabilizing geotextile, and adjust the method depending on whether the lot sits in a clay sector (western Mirabel) or a sandier one (east, near the newer developments).
Some of our Mirabel clients are in more rural sectors or older properties, with a sunken paver or an old driveway to redo. New build or resurfacing, the same sub-base rigour applies.
