Deux-Montagnes presents two quite distinct site realities for an interlock paving project. On waterfront properties sloping toward Lac des Deux Montagnes, the priority is managing surface water: without proper grading and drainage under and around the pavers, runoff pools instead of draining to a planned point. On lots closer to the town centre and train station, properties are compact and long since built — the work looks more like a resurfacing than a new installation.
For waterfront lots, we build the lot's natural slope into the driveway or terrace design rather than fully correcting it: excavation, layered compacted crushed stone, stabilizing geotextile and a drainage system that directs water away from the foundation and the shoreline. For central neighbourhoods, we work as we do in Saint-Eustache — diagnosing the existing sub-base before proposing a resurfacing.
